So here we are at Servo on our continuous search for the best Eggs Benedict in town.
Once a former service station, Servo has become a popular brunch stop for West Aucklanders. The place is always bustling, and has a funky community vibe, with the locals chatting to each other as they pick up their take away coffees.
The husband ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict, and was suitably impressed. Unfortunately I’ve experienced one too many overpowering Hollandaise sauces recently, so I enjoyed the spinach version with Hollandaise on the side. The spinach was a little chewy and the eggs a tad overcooked. However, the highlight of my meal was the rugby ball shaped home made hash browns – outstandingly delicious. We washed our brunch down with huge bowls of hot chocolate.
Top Tip: Arrive early to secure a table. The place is always packed.
In a nutshell: A good brunch stop for those Westies.
